Assignment 2 for Internet Safety--Assigned March 17th

The Internet is an amazing place full or interesting things and information. It is also full of danger, especially for young people.

Your task is to create a lesson for elementary or Middle School students about Internet Safety.

It must be well thought and developed. Your first step is to check out what is Internet Safety and how do you stay safe online.

You must have:

  • 5 Definitions or notes for them to take
  • A story about why Internet safety is important (this can be fictional or a real news story). This is what you will be reading to them. Remember they are younger than you.
  • An activity for the students to (it can be written or actually on the Internet)
    • You must have a clear instruction sheet to tell them what to do and how to do it.
      • You can use resources that are out there but you have to find them and explain what they are and why you chose them.

The more creative you are with your lesson, the more engage the students will be.

You may work with one other person.

Everything must be explained in a Word document or a PowerPoint so it can be followed. Think of this as a script of how you would do this.
